Our favorite Jacob lamb, this little guy is a four horn and has beautiful BLUE eyes. His friend, is one of our mixed Jacob/Montedale crosses. We use their fiber in our earache soother pillows. Which I have been using lately! I am updating this blog since I can't go outside, both of my ears are aching, so I am spending lots of time on the earache pillow! With some wool in my other ear!

Brand New Lamb at Forget me not Farm
Meet Felicia and her lamb from this spring, absolutely brand new! They are Jacob sheep, and YES!! They have horns, even the ewes do, they are not goats, SHEEP!! Cool, right? She is such a good momma! Her baby is really getting big now, and we are pretty lucky when we can keep him in the fence, because he is almost as big as she is. Funny, when she was a lamb we couldn't keep her in either. I guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. I wonder if all the other mommas in the pasture are reminding her about that? In sheep language?
Come and see us this Saturday
We will be upstairs at the North Spencer Christian Academy with our farm stand all set up! Fiber, yarn, hats, pincushions stuffed with our wool, earache soothers, farmgirl grease and more. I will have a sample CSA share there! Come sign up. Share in the harvest of fiber/yarn from our animals this fall, you will support local organic agriculture, and support Heritage breed sheep for conservation!! Tell your friends, and don't forget about the giveaway for a free weekend at our Farms Bed&Breakfast, all of our shareholders will be entered for a free weekend at the farm in 2011.
