2012 CSA share

The fiber shares are ready.  Our harvest is back, we have six

naturally colored choices this year. 

2 shades of brown

2 shades of white

1 grey

1 lilac

Our  Fiber share is $150. of fiber, or the equivalent value of yarn, which works out to be approxomatly 6 skeins of wool yarn, or 4 skeins of wool yarn and one exotic.

The share also includes original artwork, and coupons which are good for items at our farm shop, or farmers market.

Grass-fed lamb shares are available, and include the freezer cuts from one grass-fed, heritage lamb.

Lamb shares cost $150. or $75. for a half share

Grass-fed lamb shares are ready for pick up  October 30, 

 for the fall and winter holidays.

We will be upstairs at the North Spencer Christian Academy with our farm stand all set up! Fiber, yarn, hats, pincushions stuffed with our wool, earache soothers, farmgirl grease and more. I will have a sample CSA share there! Come sign up. Share in the harvest of fiber/yarn from our animals this fall, you will support local organic agriculture, and support Heritage breed sheep for conservation!! Tell your friends, and don't forget about the giveaway for a free weekend at our Farms Bed&Breakfast, all of our shareholders will be entered for a free weekend at the farm in 2011.

Our Bed and Breakfast is a wonderful opportunity to get to stay right on the farm, in the privacy of your own organicaly built cottage. Organic cotton sheets and towels, natural soaps, low VOC paints and finishes, recycled materials and handmade by our family. Includes a delicious farm-fresh breakfast, made of local and organic ingredients.

2010 Lambs and our yarn

These are Doras twins, Kili and Fili, one boy and one girl. They are Jacob crossed with Border Leister. I think I spelled that wrong! They were born about 4 minutes before this photo. Their mom needed no assistance, but seemed happy enough to have us there to admire her beautiful new babies. Dora almost always has twins, but still manages to give us some great fiber each shearing time. check out her pretty color. To see Dora and her first twin, ask for one of our brochures on the fiber CSA, they have a sweet spot in it.

This is some red merino country spun by Jenn (me) and the girls. One of my favorites, and Great Grandma knitted me a scarf out of it! Coming soon-photo of me in the freezing cold winter with my scarf from GG.

Hello and Welcome to the first fiber CSA in the fingerlakes area! We are pleased to have you visit. This is only the start of a wonderful partnership between the Fiber Farms in our CSA, and the Fingerlakes area and beyond.
